Keep It Cool
When my kiddos were younger, my oldest son wanted to host a game night.
With so much excitement when I agreed, he made invitations and handed them out, cleaned his room and living room, planned snacks, and got all his siblings on board to help.
When the night of the event came, he set out some board games and then completely focused on all his video game consoles/setups.
This is where I realized a disconnect in MY thoughts of 'game night' and HIS thoughts on what 'game night' looks like. Never once in my old school thinking did game night include video games... but that was at the forefront of his thinking.
I questioned it, and after understanding that he wanted to share his excitement, joy, and fun of these video games (and a bit of competition HA!) with his friends and family, I embraced it, and we had the best night!
The grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and siblings played board games AND video games and filled my house with the sound of laughter and fun that I so love.
This is an original 20" x 16" Oil painting on gallery-wrapped canvas with a painted edge in a black floater frame.
Ready to hang with a wire hanger attached to the back.
