It's my birthday!!!
Sooooo. . . I am going to take the day off from painting and spend some time with my family. This is pretty funny after my post about staying focused yesterday. . . LOL. . . I guess we all need to find that balance! This picture was taken a few years ago when my amazing mother asked me what kind of cake I would like and my answer was "pink glitter". She DID IT! You may not be able to see it in the image, but this was a totally awesome pink glitter cake!!! My Mom ROCKS!
Sometimes I need to remember to focus. . . and not create excuses. . . and not all the little distractions that come with every day life pull me away from my goals.
I am not completely happy with the background on this piece. . . I may go in and rework it later. What do you think?
Whew! I was moving like molasses this morning, but I am hoping that I have developed enough energy to salvage the rest of my day. I have never painted a lego piece so quickly! I wanted to keep this one more loose, but of course I found myself getting stuck with the details here and there. . . I need to remember to pull back a bit.
Oh my goodness. . . how I love this little spaceman! It is only day 5 of this 30 paintings in 30 days challenge and i feel like I am already struggling. . . sooooooo. . . When I feel like I am in a painting rut, I go right to my beloved Legos! This little guy is going to help me advance past this painting humdrum and move on with my daily art challenges.
Soooooo... this was a challenge!!! If you know me at all, you know that I like my glitter, sparkles and bling. When I came across this bow, in it's glittery glory, I knew I needed to try to paint it. It was a challenge indeed. . . and I am not sure I am happy with it. . . but it sure fits in with my life at the moment with a lot going on and feeling chaotic.
Let's see what tomorrow brings.
I keep meaning to have a blog... it will most likely get neglected... Hang in there people,.. I am trying!
