My pieces have been selling pretty quickly lately! Which is amazing. . . but. . . I was going to use these pieces in an upcoming show! It is a good problem to have, I guess! LOL! I will just keep painting!
I am really drawn to this old camera and the color palette that I used the other day. . . so I thought I would give this one another look. I limited the amount of time that I painted today and I definitely painted more quickly than I am used to. . . we all need to stretch beyond our comfort zones every now and then.
This is such a cop out. . . I am stressed out and totally needed a simple painting for today because all I want to do is take a nap. So here is my little lego brick, taking a snooze on my behalf.
Tomorrow is a new day. . . AND Friday!!! That is a reason to smile! :)
Sooooo, this is a crazy color palette that I have never used before. I am having fun wtih the pops of color that I am finding as I paint these cameras, and the symbolism that the camera holds is so fitting with what is happening in my life right now. Sometimes we just want to say "Can you see me!?!?!"
Woohoo! 10 Days down in the 30 paintings in 30 day challenge! This one was giving me a run for my money! I thought this simple little old school camera would be a quick and easy painting for today. . . but after having to walk away to take my son the dentist and then back to school, and countless other inturruptions during my work day, it was just not coming out like I had wanted. It was time to take a deep breathe, eat a good meal, clear the mind and try again.
I refuse to give up! :)
It is day 9 of the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge, and I have gone back to my legos. We all have those leftover pieces. . . whether it is extra pieces from a lego build, old clothes and books left in the room of the child that moved into their own house, or memories of a friendship that went awry. . . we just have to figure out what to do with them.
I keep meaning to have a blog... it will most likely get neglected... Hang in there people,.. I am trying!
